The CDL-A Flatbed Driver operates regional flatbed routes, primarily east of I-35, hauling building materials, pipe, coils, and similar freight. Drivers earn 70 cents per mile on loaded and empty miles, with stated weekly earnings of $1,675 to $1,775 and an additional $30 per load, whether or not tarping is required. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for solo drivers. Tarping is needed on approximately three out of five loads, and hands-on flatbed experience is required. Drivers are home every 7–14 days for a 34–48 hour reset. Assigned equipment includes a 2020–2025 Peterbilt 567 or 579 tractor, with automatic and manual transmission options, and a 2024 48-foot spread-axle flatbed trailer. Trucks are governed at 70 MPH. Drivers may take their assigned truck home if they have a safe place to park it. Regular maintenance is provided. Transition pay is available during the first few weeks as drivers become familiar with routes, scheduling, and dispatch operations. One pet may ride along with no breed or weight restrictions; cats are welcome. One passenger age 10 or older is permitted with the required liability form. Health insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and vacation time are available. The employer is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants without regard to protected characteristics.
