This position operates established flatbed lanes, primarily east of I-35, hauling building materials, pipe, coils, and similar freight. Drivers are typically out for 7–14 days, then return home for a 34–48 hour reset. Pay is 70 cents per mile on loaded and empty miles, with stated weekly earnings of $1,675 to $1,775. Drivers also receive $30 per load, whether or not tarping is required; tarping is needed on approximately three out of five loads. Solo drivers are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and transition pay is available during the first few weeks while drivers become familiar with routes, scheduling, and dispatch. Each driver is assigned a Peterbilt 567 or 579 tractor, model years 2020–2025, with automatic or manual transmission options, and a 2024 48-foot spread-axle flatbed trailer. Trucks are governed at 70 MPH. Drivers may take the assigned truck home if they have a safe place to park it. Regular maintenance is provided. One pet may ride along without breed or weight restrictions, including cats, and one passenger age 10 or older may accompany the driver with the required liability form. Benefits include health insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and vacation time. Applicants must have a valid CDL-A, qualifying tractor-trailer and flatbed experience, and tarping and load-securement experience. The employer is an equal opportunity employer.
