Rouse Trucking is hiring CDL-A flatbed drivers to haul building materials, coils, pipe, and similar freight. Routes primarily operate east of I-35, with pay for both loaded and empty miles. The role involves regular hands-on flatbed work, including tarping and load securement. Tarping is required on approximately three out of five loads, and drivers receive an additional $30 for every load whether tarping is required or not. Drivers earn 70 cents per mile and typically make $1,700 to $1,800 per week. Solo drivers are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Drivers return home every 7–14 days for a 34–48-hour reset. Transition pay is provided during the first few weeks while drivers become familiar with routes, scheduling, and dispatch operations. Drivers are assigned 2020–2025 Peterbilt 567 or 579 tractors, with automatic and manual transmission options, and 2024 48-foot spread-axle flatbed trailers. Trucks are governed at 70 MPH. Assigned trucks may be taken home when the driver has a safe place to park them. Regular maintenance supports dependable operation and reduced downtime. One pet may ride with the driver, with no breed or weight restrictions; cats are allowed. One passenger may ride with a required liability form and must be at least 10 years old. Health insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and vacation time are available. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
