About The Position

Rouse Trucking is hiring CDL-A flatbed drivers based in Houston, Texas. Drivers haul building materials, pipe, coils, and similar flatbed freight, primarily east of I-35. Pay is $1,675 to $1,775 per week, with 70 cents per mile paid on loaded and empty miles and an additional $30 for every load. Tarping is required on approximately three out of five loads, and the load pay applies whether tarping is required or not. Solo drivers are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Drivers are home every 7–14 days for a 34–48-hour reset. The company assigns 2020–2025 Peterbilt 567 or 579 tractors, with automatic and manual transmission options, and 2024 48-foot spread-axle flatbed trailers. Trucks are governed at 70 MPH. Drivers may take their assigned truck home when safe parking is available. Regular maintenance is provided. Transition pay is offered during the first few weeks as drivers become familiar with routes, scheduling, and dispatch operations.

One pet may ride along, with no breed or weight restrictions; cats are also allowed. One passenger is permitted with the required liability form, provided they are at least 10 years old. Health insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and vacation time are available.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license.
• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience within the last 5 years.
• At least 6 months of flatbed experience.
• Tarping and load securement experience.
