About The Position

Rouse Trucking is hiring experienced CDL-A flatbed drivers to haul building materials, pipe, coils, and similar freight, primarily east of I-35. Drivers earn $1,675 to $1,775 per week at 70 cents per mile, with loaded and empty miles paid, plus $30 for every load. Tarping is needed on approximately three out of five loads, and the load pay applies whether tarping is required or not. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for solo drivers. Home time is every 7–14 days with a 34–48 hour reset. Drivers receive assigned equipment and do not need to switch trucks between trips. Equipment includes 2020–2025 Peterbilt 567 and 579 tractors, with automatic and manual transmission options, and 2024 48-foot spread-axle flatbed trailers. Trucks are governed at 70 MPH. Drivers may take their assigned truck home if they have a safe place to park it. Regular maintenance supports dependable operation and reduced downtime. Transition pay is provided during the first few weeks while drivers become familiar with routes, scheduling, and dispatch operations. One pet may ride along, with no breed or weight restrictions; cats are also allowed. One passenger is permitted with the required liability form, provided the passenger is at least 10 years old. Health insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and vacation time are available.

Requirements

Valid CDL-A license.
At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience within the last 5 years.
At least 6 months of flatbed experience.
Experience with tarping and load securement.
Comfort with hands-on flatbed work.

Responsibilities
