Rouse Trucking is hiring CDL-A flatbed drivers to haul building materials, pipe, coils, and similar freight primarily east of I-35. Drivers earn $1,675–$1,775 per week, with 70 cents per mile on loaded and empty miles plus $30 for every load. Tarping is required on approximately three out of five loads, and the load pay applies whether tarping is needed or not. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for solo drivers. Drivers are typically on the road for 7–14 days before returning home for a 34–48-hour reset. Each driver receives assigned equipment: 2020–2025 Peterbilt 567 or 579 tractors, with automatic and manual transmission options, and 2024 48-foot spread-axle flatbed trailers. Trucks are governed at 70 MPH. Drivers may take their assigned truck home if safe parking is available. Transition pay is available during the first few weeks while drivers become familiar with the freight network, dispatch, and scheduling. Drivers may bring one pet, including cats, with no breed or weight restrictions. One passenger age 10 or older is permitted with the required liability form. Benefits include health insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and vacation time.
