CDL A Driver - New CDL Welcome - Paid Training
About The Position
This position is for a CDL A Driver with opportunities for new drivers who have recently obtained their CDL-A. The role involves driving dry van freight within the Midwest region, covering Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky. Drivers can expect to drive between 1,600 to 2,000 miles per week and will be home every weekend. The job includes various types of loads such as drop and hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloads. There are two ways to start: either with paid training if you have a CDL-A but no experience, or directly into your own truck if you have relevant prior experience.
Requirements
- Class A CDL.
- Must be 21 or older.
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years.
- Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- CDL-A in hand with 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school (for new drivers).
- 6 months OTR experience in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years (for experienced drivers).
- Live within 100 miles of Gary, IN.
Responsibilities
- Drive dry van freight in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky.
- Operate a truck covering 1,600 to 2,000 miles per week.
- Be home every weekend.
- Handle drop and hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloads.
- Participate in paid training with an experienced driver trainer if new to the field.
- Transition to driving your own truck on full pay after training.
