About The Position

NIS Express is seeking entry-level CDL-A Drivers in Lexington, SC. This position offers paid, one-on-one training for recent CDL school graduates. The training program lasts three to five weeks with a dedicated trainer, focusing on real freight and routes from the start. Drivers are paid from day one. Upon completion of supervised miles and evaluations, drivers will go solo. The job involves regional dry van freight east of I-35, with 100% no-touch freight and approximately 70% drop and hook loads. Drivers will operate 2024-2025 Freightliner or Kenworth tractors equipped with APUs. The position offers weekly or bi-weekly home time.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• 21 years of age or older
• 120 or more hours from an accredited CDL school
• Clean driving record
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailer according to safety standards.
• Comply with ELD and hours-of-service logging regulations.
• Perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and follow company procedures.
• Operate regional dry van freight east of I-35.
• Handle 100% no-touch freight.
• Perform drop and hook operations for approximately 70% of loads.
