About The Position

NIS Express is seeking entry-level Class A CDL drivers in Greenwood, AR, for a paid training program. This program is designed to prepare new drivers for a successful career on the road, offering a structured 3 to 5 week training period with a dedicated one-on-one trainer. The training covers tractor-trailer operation, road safety, ELD compliance, vehicle inspections, and company policies. Drivers go solo only after completing supervised miles and evaluations, ensuring thorough preparation. NIS Express offers consistent lanes through the Greenwood area, providing a reliable start with steady miles and strong dispatch support.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL license required
Must be 21 years of age or older
Completion of 120 or more hours at an accredited CDL school (drivers with a valid Class A CDL and no OTR experience are also welcome to apply)
Acceptable driving record with a focus on safety
Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and in compliance with all DOT regulations
Transport no-touch dry van freight – approximately 70% drop and hook
Meet delivery appointments and maintain on-time performance
Keep accurate ELD logs, DVIRs and trip reports
Perform daily vehicle inspections and report issues immediately
Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
