About The Position

American Driver is recruiting in Athens, AL for Class A drivers who are new to the industry and ready to start building a career in OTR trucking. This is a full-time W2 position. Training is paid, the freight is consistent, and the equipment is late-model. The training program lasts 4-6 weeks with a dedicated mentor and is fully paid. Drivers will gain hands-on experience from day one with live loads and real deadlines, covering HOS, ELD, and pre/post trip inspections. Weekly pay starts from the beginning, and solo driving begins at $0.56 CPM after completion. The position offers no-touch dry van freight, with 60% drop and hook, averaging 2,200–2,500 miles per week on Eastern routes with consistent year-round freight. Pay ranges from $0.56–$0.65 CPM depending on experience, with weekly take-home typically $1,200–$1,500. Additional pay is provided for stops, layovers, and breakdowns, with pay increases every six months. Drivers receive $300 orientation pay and direct deposit every Friday. Home time is scheduled every two weeks in advance. Equipment consists of Freightliner or Kenworth trucks (2022–2025) with APUs on all assigned trucks.

Requirements

• Class A CDL
• Age 21+
• Completed a minimum of 120 hours of instruction from an accredited CDL school
• No major violations in the last 3 years
• No DUI in the last 5 years
• Must pass urine and hair follicle drug test
