About The Position

The CDL-A Dedicated Flatbed Driver hauls dedicated stainless-steel freight originating near Calvert, Alabama, with location listed as Meridian, Mississippi. Loads include smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets, primarily live loaded and live unloaded. Drivers use lightweight six-foot drop tarps, with approximately 75% of loads requiring tarping, and receive tarp compensation through the account's pay program. Planned backhauls help position drivers toward subsequent outbound shipments, supporting consistent weekly freight movement. Drivers are home every weekend for a 34-hour reset. Compensation is $2,000 to $2,100 per week, and qualified drivers are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Drivers are assigned newer-model Kenworth T680 tractors and 2025 Extreme flatbed trailers, and remain with the same trailer throughout each trip. Orientation runs Monday through Thursday and pays $100 per day; hotel accommodations, meals, and travel arrangements are provided. After orientation, drivers transition to assigned equipment and begin running the dedicated account.

Requirements

Valid CDL-A license.
At least one year of OTR experience within the last five years.
At least six months of flatbed experience.
Steel-hauling experience.
Current coil-hauling certification.
Tarping and load-securement experience.
Acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Haul dedicated stainless-steel freight, including smaller coils and flat sheets, from near Calvert, Alabama.
Tarp freight as required, using lightweight six-foot drop tarps.
Secure loads using the account's flatbed equipment.
Continue moving after deliveries using available planned backhaul loads.
Operate assigned Kenworth T680 tractors and Extreme flatbed trailers, remaining with the same trailer throughout each trip.
