CDL-A Dedicated Flatbed Driver

American Trucking Group USA•Mobile, AL

About The Position

Experienced CDL-A flatbed drivers haul dedicated stainless-steel freight originating near Calvert, Alabama, with deliveries throughout the United States. The account primarily transports smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets on 48-foot flatbed trailers. Most loads are live loaded and live unloaded. Available flatbed backhauls, which may include lumber, insulation, or other flatbed commodities, are used for return trips toward Alabama. Drivers earn $2,000 to $2,100 per week, with tarp compensation included, and qualified drivers may receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Home time includes a weekly 34-hour reset; the day depends on delivery location and available return freight, so Saturday or Sunday home time is not guaranteed. Drivers operate assigned newer-model Kenworth tractors with 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailers and remain with their assigned equipment on the account. Approximately 75% of loads require tarping. The account supplies lightweight six-foot drop tarps and account-specific securement equipment. New drivers attend orientation Monday through Thursday and receive $100 per day in orientation pay; hotel accommodations, meals, and travel arrangements are provided.
