About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time teacher for its PK3/4 classroom at a classical and Catholic homeschool hybrid program in Charlotte, North Carolina, for the 2026–2027 academic year. The role is 13–14 hours per week, with center hours on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The program maintains a small adult-to-child ratio and provides curriculum, grading guidelines, and training in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. Certification and formal teaching experience are not required. Childcare/nursery is provided. The position is hourly. No additional vacation days are provided, though accommodations are made for sick days as needed; the academy provides information about its vacation and Holy Days schedule.

Requirements

Be able to lift at least 30 pounds frequently.
Be able to stand and walk for extended hours throughout the workday.
Be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
Live the Catholic faith day to day, including having received all sacraments appropriate to one's state in life.
Complete a clear background check and RCA Safe Child training before teaching.
Have strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
Hold a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with homeschool children, parish ministry, teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes, teaching one's own children, or teaching in a classical or private school. These experiences are not required.

Responsibilities

Teach in the PK3/4 classroom in a formal Socratic classroom setting.
Provide instruction and classroom management according to Regina Caeli Academy standards.
Follow the provided curriculum and grading guidelines.
