About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking part-time Elementary teachers for the 2026–27 academic year at its location in Pelham, New Hampshire. Available grades may include 5th Grade. The academy is a classical homeschool program in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required; tutors receive training and are provided with curriculum and grading guidelines. Tutors are trained to instruct and manage classrooms according to RCA standards. Teachers must prepare for classes at home and arrive ready to teach in a highly structured environment. Positions are hourly, and childcare/nursery care is provided. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church, have a deep love for the Catholic faith, and live the faith day-to-day, including having received the sacraments appropriate to their state in life. All employees must complete a clear background check, and staff complete RCA Safe Child training before teaching. The schedule is Mondays and Thursdays, 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No additional vacation days are given; accommodations are made for sick days as needed.

Requirements

No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required.
Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all sacraments appropriate to their state in life.
Must complete a clear background check.
Must complete RCA Safe Child training before teaching.
Must be willing to prepare for classes at home and teach in a highly structured environment.
Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.

Nice To Haves

Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children.
Experience in Catholic parish ministry.
Experience teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes.
Experience teaching one's own children.
Experience teaching in a classical or private school.
Standard computer skills, ideally with Google Suite or an equivalent.

Responsibilities

Teach elementary students in a classical, Catholic classroom using a formal Socratic approach.
Prepare for classes at home and arrive prepared to teach in a highly structured environment.
