Catholic Substitute Teacher
About The Position
Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher for its classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, near Kansas City in Overland Park, Kansas. The substitute teaches in a formal Socratic classroom on Mondays and Thursdays, covering for staff who are out sick. The role is called as needed, and substitutes may decline assignments when unavailable. The position is hourly and may involve up to 14 hours per week. Childcare/nursery is provided. Teaching certification and formal teaching experience are not required; training, curriculum, and grading guidelines are provided. Tutors are trained to deliver instruction and manage classrooms according to RCA standards. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church, have a deep love for the Catholic faith, and live the faith day to day, including having received the sacraments appropriate to their state in life. All staff must complete a clear background check and RCA Safe Child training before teaching.
Requirements

- Have strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
- Hold a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.

Responsibilities
