About The Position

Under the direction of the Catering Manager and Supervisor(s), the Catering Server provides timely, efficient, and accurate service to guests and supports their food and beverage experience. The role serves events in a stadium environment and requires professionalism, teamwork, and a positive approach to guest service. Orientation and on-the-job training are provided. This position is represented by Unite Here Local 11, and union dues are required as part of membership. Compensation is $18.90–$21.00.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be willing to work hours that vary according to the event schedule.
Must be able to work at a fast pace.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be willing to stand for long hours.
Must hold a California Food Handlers Certification.
Must hold a California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification.
Must be able to open and properly serve alcohol.
Must be pleasant, polite, courteous, and enjoy working with people.
Must be able to work in a team environment and remain calm under stressful situations.
Must be able to provide positive guest service, including maintaining a smile and positive body language.
Must be able to follow directions and accept and carry out responsibility for assigned tasks.
Must be able to make generalizations, evaluations, and decisions without immediate supervision.
Physical requirements include constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions, and normal lifting of stock up to 40 lbs.

Catering or food and beverage experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Report on time for scheduled events and promptly report to the assigned area.
Complete opening and closing duties as directed by management and supervisors.
Maintain professionalism and service standards in accordance with Legends’ handbook and service standards.
Set up, maintain, and break down areas for functions efficiently.
Know the other food, beverage, and retail outlets within the stadium.
Maintain extensive knowledge of food and beverage menus, specials, and services offered.
Follow the Legends Sequence of Service when interacting with guests.
Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment.
Communicate professionally with supervisors and management.
Work as a team with fellow associates and other service departments throughout the stadium.
Complete tasks assigned by management and supervisors.
Retrieve products, smallwares, food, and/or beverages for the assigned location on event day.
