About The Position
Meals Now is seeking an independent-contractor Catering Delivery Driver in Elgin, Illinois, to provide catering-only deliveries for premium restaurant partners. Drivers serve as an extension of the company’s and its clients’ brands, delivering large catering orders and setting up food at office buildings, hospitals, schools, and event venues. The role requires professional, punctual, and courteous customer service, careful adherence to delivery instructions, and taking clean photos of the setup at drop-off. Drivers are paid per delivery, with stated pay of $18–$50+ per order. Weekly pay is provided via GigSafe, with next-day payment noted. Additional incentives are available for on-time streaks, tier level, and photo quality. The company seeks a limited group of high-performing drivers in each market.
Requirements
- Have a reliable car, van, or SUV; bikes are not accepted for most markets.
- Have a catering bag and cart, or be willing to purchase them.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Have a smartphone with internet/data access.
- Be available for weekday morning and lunch shifts, 7 a.m.–2 p.m.
- Maintain a professional appearance; gym clothes, hoodies, and slides are not permitted.
- Be comfortable with setup and light lifting.
- Be dependable, communicative, and take pride in the work.
