CATERING ATTENDANT (FULL & TIME)
About The Position
The Catering Attendant delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain and ensures events are executed accurately during their shift. The role may involve driving a catering delivery truck. Duties include setting up and serving at functions, cleaning event areas during and after events, breaking down setups, leaving areas neat and clean, and returning leftover food and equipment to the catering facility promptly. The position supports meeting room catering, conference services, and employee events. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional early morning, evening, and special event coverage as business needs require.
Requirements
- Previous catering, food service, and/or hospitality experience is required.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit where required by state law.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to scheduled locations.
- Log and maintain food temperatures.
- Arrange tables and decorations.
- Arrange buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to standards.
- Serve food and beverages to guests.
- Thoroughly clean event locations after functions are completed.
- Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
- Distribute and collect customer comment cards for catered functions.
- Stock, clean, and maintain the catering facility and equipment.
- Provide friendly and courteous service to guests.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the complete menu and products on hand.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Support meeting room catering, conference services, and employee events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
