About The Position

The Catering Attendant supports catering operations by assisting with event preparation, setup, service, and cleanup while ensuring exceptional guest service and adherence to company standards. This role provides operational support across both the Huntington Center and the Glass City Center within the Toledo Complex.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to make quick and accurate decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers to ensure compliance with service standards.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with guests, clients, and team members at all levels.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended business hours as needed.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while on duty.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional guest service with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10–30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks, including frequent reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, banquet service standards, guest relations, and hospitality etiquette preferred.
  • Knowledge of table settings, service ware, and menu items preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining, organizing, and cleaning all catering equipment.
  • Ensure all event signage is properly displayed.
  • Set up tables, chairs, and catering areas as assigned by the Catering Supervisor or Manager in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Set glassware, silverware, dinnerware, and additional event necessities according to event specifications.
  • Maintain catered areas in a clean, sanitary, and organized condition throughout events.
  • Serve guests in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of catering areas following events.
  • Support overall event operations while maintaining high guest-service standards.
