About The Position

The Food & Beverage Attendant helps create a positive guest experience by preparing and overseeing the complimentary 5:30 p.m. Kickback, maintaining clean and organized kitchen and lobby areas, and ensuring food safety standards and appropriate supply levels. The role also involves answering guest questions about the hotel, local area, and events, and providing courteous, friendly hospitality to guests and co-workers. Hours of operation are 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; weekends and holidays are required. The position is at Drury Inn & Suites in Coralville, Iowa, and pay starts at $16.36 plus tips.

Requirements

• Knowledge of hotel accommodations, the community, and hotel services.
• Ability to conduct accurate food-item inventory and calculate order levels.
• Warm, friendly communication style that helps create a happy, comfortable, relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Ability to speak and understand written and verbal directions in English.
• Friendly, energetic communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee the complimentary 5:30 p.m. Kickback for guests, including food preparation and cleanup.
• Help ensure exceptional, positive experiences for team members and guests.
• Keep the kitchen and lobby clean and well organized.
• Meet food safety standards and maintain appropriate levels of supplies.
• Present a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality to customers and co-workers.
• Answer guest questions using knowledge of the hotel, local area, and events.
• Provide courteous, friendly guest service with a +1 Service attitude.
