About The Position

CC Holdings is hiring friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented cashiers for its Au Bon Pain Café located in Methodist Hospital. The role involves serving customers, handling transactions, maintaining the café station, and supporting food preparation and daily restaurant operations. The café operates seven days a week between 5 AM and 11 PM; shifts vary, and scheduling flexibility is required. The stated starting rate is up to $16.00 per hour. Applicants must be fully vaccinated and provide documentation, or have a medical or religious exemption.

Responsibilities

Balance the cash drawer, make change, enter purchases, and follow cash-handling procedures.
Record orders accurately, receive and give change, and count the drawer to support financial accountability.
Thank customers, invite them to return, and inform them about products, promotions, and other services through suggestive selling.
Arrive in proper uniform and follow grooming standards.
Set up the station according to café guidelines and prepare food items as directed, following sanitary and timely preparation practices.
Follow portion-control and presentation specifications.
Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
Clean and maintain the station, work areas, and equipment while following safety, sanitation, and organizational practices.
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Maintain food quality and safety, including sweeping floors, cleaning surfaces, and properly covering and storing food.
Use and maintain station equipment properly.
Work at an efficient and consistent pace and assist with other tasks when asked.
Act as a role model for customers and staff and help provide on-the-job training for new baristas and cashiers.
Work with the team to support operations, standards, and the café concept.
Demonstrate effective communication and listening skills and provide customer service.
Perform the essential physical and operational duties of the restaurant, with or without reasonable accommodation.
