About The Position

CC Holdings is hiring Sandwich Artist-Cashiers for its Au Bon Pain Café located in Methodist Hospital. The role prepares sandwiches, wraps, salads, and protein bowls according to recipes and ABP standards, and processes customer purchases using a point-of-sale system. Work must be timely, efficient, sanitary, and consistent. Team members maintain and stock their stations, follow food-safety requirements, provide customer service, and assist with café operations. The café offers shifts seven days a week, including 6 AM–2 PM, 7 AM–3 PM, 3 PM–10:45 PM, and 5 PM–10:45 PM; shifts vary and flexibility is required. The starting rate is up to $16.00 per hour. Employees must be fully vaccinated with documentation or have a medical or religious exemption.

Requirements

Must be fully vaccinated with documentation or have a medical or religious exemption.
Knowledge of food-service methods and procedures, sanitation principles, and safe food handling.

Nice To Haves

Prior sandwich artist, cashier, or customer service representative experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Set up the station according to café guidelines and arrive in proper uniform while adhering to grooming standards.
Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, protein bowls, and other food items according to recipes, portion controls, presentation specifications, and café standards.
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Maintain a timely, efficient, and consistent pace while preparing orders.
Restock items as needed and maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized station.
Follow food-safety, sanitation, and food-storage procedures, including cleaning floors and surfaces and properly covering and storing food.
Use and maintain station equipment properly.
Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions using the point-of-sale system.
Follow cash-handling procedures, correctly record orders, provide or receive change, and balance and count the cash drawer.
Thank customers, invite them to return, and inform them about products, promotions, and other services through suggestive selling.
Support café operations, standards, and concept by working with the team and assisting with other tasks when asked.
Act as a role model with customers and staff and help provide on-the-job training for new baristas or cashiers.
