About The Position

CC Holdings is hiring full-time and part-time sandwich artists/cashiers for its Au Bon Pain Café located in Methodist Hospital. The role combines preparing food to Au Bon Pain standards with cashier duties and customer service. Sandwich artists assemble sandwiches, wraps, salads, and protein bowls according to recipes, preparing orders efficiently, consistently, and sanitarily. They maintain and stock their stations and follow food-safety requirements. Cashiers process cash, debit, and credit card transactions using a point-of-sale system, enter purchases, make change, and balance the cash drawer. Shifts are available seven days a week, with listed schedules of 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.–10:45 p.m., and 5:00 p.m.–10:45 p.m. Shifts vary, and flexibility is required. Employees must be fully vaccinated and provide documentation, or have a medical or religious exemption. The starting rate is up to $16.00 per hour. Requirements

Arrive in proper uniform and follow grooming standards.
Knowledge of food-service methods and procedures, sanitation principles, and safe food handling.

Nice To Haves

Prior sandwich artist, cashier, and customer service representative experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assemble sandwiches, wraps, salads, and protein bowls according to recipes and café standards.
Prepare orders in a timely, efficient, sanitary, and consistent manner.
Set up, maintain, clean, and restock the assigned station according to café guidelines.
Follow portion-control, presentation, food-safety, sanitation, and food-storage procedures.
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Operate and maintain station equipment properly.
Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions using a point-of-sale system.
Correctly record orders, receive and give change, and count and balance the cash drawer.
Provide customer service, thank customers, invite them to return, and inform them about products, promotions, and services through suggestive selling.
Help train new barista/cashier team members on the job.
Work collaboratively with team members to support café operations and standards.
Assist with other tasks as requested.
