About The Position

As a Lowe's cashier, you help ensure customers leave with a positive impression by providing a quick, friendly, professional checkout experience and helping them get good value. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves assisting customers with questions, payments, and exchanges and maintaining a clean, safe workstation. Regular travel is not required, although occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions may include indoor and outdoor weather, varying or extreme temperatures, damp or windy conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines and use powered equipment when required and appropriately trained.

Requirements

• Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to lift at least 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
