About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help customers finish their shopping experience with a quick, friendly, and professional checkout. You assist with payments, exchanges, questions, and self-checkout, while helping customers get good value. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also help other departments, stock shelves, move carts, or complete other duties as needed. The role requires basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills; computer use; and the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods. You must be able to lift 10 pounds unassisted or more than 15 pounds with or without accommodation. Work conditions can vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor conditions, extreme temperatures, moisture, wind, noise, and moving or shaking equipment. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or nearby stores may be needed.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.
