About The Position

As a Lowe's cashier, you help ensure every customer exits the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience and helping customers get value for their money. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The position involves answering customer questions and helping with payments and exchanges in a fast-paced environment.

The role does not require regular travel, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat or cold, wet or humid conditions, wind or drafts, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, which limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts or powered equipment are used as appropriate, with proper training or assistance.

Requirements

• Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.
