Full Time - Cashier - Opening
About The Position
As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers leave with a positive experience by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout and helping them get the best value. Most of the work is at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves answering customer questions, assisting with payments and exchanges, and helping customers in the self-checkout area. The position does not require regular travel, although occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions may include indoor and outdoor weather, varying climates, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts and powered equipment are used as appropriate, with proper training or assistance.
Requirements
- Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
- Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.
