About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help customers have a quick, friendly checkout experience and get the best value for their money. You answer questions and assist with payments and exchanges, primarily at the register, while also helping other departments, stocking shelves, or moving carts as needed. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining a clean, safe workstation. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions may include indoor and outdoor weather, varying climates, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, use team lifts when appropriate, and use powered equipment only with proper training or assistance.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
