About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers leave the store satisfied by providing a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience. You answer questions, assist with payments and exchanges, and help customers get good value. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role does not require regular travel, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed.

Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, wet or humid conditions, wind, drafts, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates follow lifting guidelines, use team lifts where needed, and use powered equipment when required and properly trained.

Requirements

• Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer to input, access, modify, or output information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
