About The Position
Dunkin' is seeking an enthusiastic Cashier to serve customers in a lively, fast-paced restaurant environment. The role involves processing transactions and orders, helping guests choose menu items, preparing coffee and other beverages, and keeping the counter and dining area clean. Cashiers are expected to support a positive team environment, deliver friendly service, resolve customer concerns, uphold service and product-quality standards, and follow cash-handling, cleanliness, food-safety, and workplace-safety procedures. The position is suited to someone willing to learn; prior experience is not required. The restaurant is independently owned and operated by a Dunkin' franchisee, which is the employer and sets its own wage and benefit programs.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.
- Team-oriented and ready to work in a dynamic environment.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Comfortable using basic computer and point-of-sale systems.
- Must pass a drug test and criminal background check.
- No prior experience required; willingness to learn is expected.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers, prioritizing guest satisfaction.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Help customers select menu items and answer questions about the menu.
- Process orders quickly and correctly.
- Prepare coffee and other beverages.
- Keep the counter and dining area clean and inviting.
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, respectful work atmosphere.
- Be receptive to feedback and learning.
- Arrive on time and ready for scheduled shifts.
- Resolve customer concerns or issues efficiently.
- Maintain Dunkin' service and product-quality standards.
- Upsell menu items and promotions.
- Follow procedures for cash handling, cleanliness, food safety, and workplace safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
