About The Position
Dunkin' is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic Cashier to serve customers in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The role involves handling transactions, helping customers choose menu items, processing orders accurately, preparing coffee and other beverages, and keeping the counter and dining area clean. Cashiers contribute to guest satisfaction by providing friendly service, resolving customer concerns, maintaining service and product quality standards, and promoting menu items and offers. They work collaboratively with the team, follow workplace procedures, and are expected to arrive on time and be open to feedback and learning. No prior experience is required. The restaurant is independently owned and operated by a Dunkin' franchisee, which is the employer and sets its own wage and benefit programs.
Requirements
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.
- Team-oriented and ready to work in a dynamic environment.
- At least 18 years old.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Comfortable using basic computer systems and a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Must pass a drug test and criminal background check.
- No prior experience required; willingness to learn and work as part of the team.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly customer service and help create a positive experience for guests.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Assist customers with menu selections and answer questions.
- Process orders quickly and correctly.
- Prepare coffee and other beverages.
- Keep the counter and dining area clean and inviting.
- Work collaboratively with team members and maintain a positive, respectful work atmosphere.
- Be receptive to feedback and opportunities to learn and improve.
- Arrive on time and ready for scheduled shifts.
- Address customer concerns or issues efficiently.
- Maintain Dunkin' standards for service and product quality.
- Promote new menu items and promotions to customers.
- Follow procedures for cash handling, cleanliness, food safety, and workplace safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
