CASHIER (FULL TIME)
About The Position
TouchPoint Support Services is hiring a full-time Cashier at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The role performs cashiering duties, including processing cash transactions, verifying the cash drawer, making change, counting receipts, and completing cash reports. The cashier may also perform general food service work and helps maintain sanitation standards in preparation, service, and dining areas. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with days varying and rotating weekends. The pay range is $16.00 to $18.00 per hour. Prior cash handling and customer service experience is required.
Requirements
- Prior cash handling experience.
- Prior customer service experience.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Perform sales transactions in a timely manner and enter sales into the cash register accurately.
- Make change, accept declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment, and issue receipts.
- Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
- Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Manage assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring the cash drawer meets overage and shortage standards.
- Observe customer purchases in the cafe line and distinguish standard portions.
- Replenish condiments, coffee, beverages, and general supplies while keeping service areas clean.
- Keep the pastry case stocked.
- Comply with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
