CASHIER (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Eurest is hiring a full-time cashier at Amex Desert Ridge in Phoenix, Arizona. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with hours that may vary. No experience is necessary, and training is provided. The fixed pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The cashier performs cash transactions, verifies the cash drawer, gives change, counts receipts, and completes cash reports. The role may also include general food service work and maintaining sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and dining areas. Cashiers provide friendly, service-oriented customer assistance and follow company procedures for service, inventory, cash control, sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety.
Requirements
- No experience is necessary; the employer is willing to train.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Perform sales transactions in a timely manner and enter sales into the cash register accurately.
- Make change, accept declining balance cards and other accepted forms of payment, and issue receipts.
- Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
- Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Manage assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring the cash drawer meets overage and shortage standards.
- Observe customer purchases in the café line and distinguish standard portions.
- Replenish condiments, coffee, beverages, and general supplies while keeping service areas clean.
- Keep the pastry case stocked.
- Comply with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.
- Perform general food service work and other duties as assigned.
