About The Position

The Cashier manages customer flow by providing quick, efficient, and accurate transactions in a welcoming atmosphere. The role collaborates with team members and managers across departments to ensure customers receive answers and service, and maintains a clean, attractive front-end area, including the cashier station and surrounding merchandising and service areas. Earth Fare Team Members help customers select healthy food and household and wellbeing products that meet the company’s standards, supporting its mission of helping people live healthy lives. This part-time position is based at Earth Fare in Athens, Georgia. The role works in a fast-paced, customer-service-focused environment and may involve working in extreme cold. Cashiers must be available during the specified holiday-season blackout dates.

Requirements

Must be available to work holiday-season blackout days: November 21–27 and December 21–January 6.
Friendly, patient, and welcoming demeanor when greeting shoppers and resolving problems.
Exemplary communication skills.
Punctuality and dependable attendance to maintain front-end coverage.
Ability to multitask effectively during peak hours.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
Must be able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
Must be able to stand and be on one's feet during the workday.
