Grocery Clerk - Earth Fare Athens
About The Position
Earth Fare Team Members help ensure that customers have a fulfilling store visit by answering questions and meeting their shopping needs. They help customers choose healthy food and trusted wellbeing and household products. The Grocery Clerk supports the grocery, dairy, and frozen food departments by providing customer service and keeping merchandise stocked, clean, organized, rotated, and appropriately displayed. The role works in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and may involve exposure to extreme cold and physical tasks such as lifting, bending, reaching, and moving heavy loads.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
- Ability to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
- Ability to stand and be on one's feet during the workday.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of common allergies and specialized dietary terms such as gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian.
- Experience working in a retail and/or customer service-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service in the grocery, dairy, and frozen food departments.
- Keep the grocery, dairy, and frozen food departments well stocked, clean, organized, rotated, and appropriately merchandised.
- Maintain an attractive sales floor by following Earth Fare merchandising guidelines.
- Help customers with questions and shopping needs.
