About The Position
The Grocery Clerk provides customer service in the grocery, dairy, and frozen food departments, helping customers with questions and shopping needs. The role ensures these departments are well stocked, clean, organized, rotated, and appropriately merchandised. The clerk maintains an attractive sales floor by following Earth Fare merchandising guidelines. The position works in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and may involve working in extreme cold.
Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
- Able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
- Able to stand and be on one's feet during the workday.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of common allergies and specialized dietary terms such as gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian.
- Experience working in a retail and/or customer service-oriented environment.
