Grocery Clerk - Earth Fare Ocala
About The Position
The Grocery Clerk provides excellent customer service in the grocery, dairy, and frozen food departments, helping customers with questions and shopping needs. The role supports Earth Fare’s mission of helping people live healthy lives by assisting customers in selecting trusted healthy foods and products for wellbeing and the household. The clerk ensures the grocery, dairy, and frozen food departments are stocked, clean, organized, rotated, and appropriately merchandised. The role also maintains an attractive sales floor by following merchandising guidelines set by the Grocery Manager. Work takes place in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and may involve extreme cold and physical tasks such as lifting and moving heavy loads.
Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
- Able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
- Able to stand and remain on one's feet during the workday.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of common allergies and specialized dietary terms such as gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian.
- Experience in a retail and/or customer service-oriented environment.
