About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers have a positive checkout experience and receive good value. You answer customer questions and assist with payments and exchanges, primarily at the register, while also helping in other areas as needed, including other departments, shelf stocking, or cart movement. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining a clean, safe workstation. Occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed; regular travel is not required. Working conditions vary by location and may include both indoor and outdoor weather, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates follow lifting guidelines, use team lifts minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed, and use powered equipment only as required and with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
