About The Position

Sales Associates help keep the store clean, inviting, safe, and running smoothly while providing friendly customer service. The role includes operating the register, supporting sales, stocking merchandise, maintaining indoor and outdoor areas, and assisting in other departments as needed. The position involves physically demanding cleaning and stocking tasks, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, and spending most of the shift on your feet.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be willing to work hard and remain on your feet for most of the shift.
• Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Must have basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• Must be capable of frequently lifting 10 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
• Must be personable, positive, detail-oriented, reliable, responsible, and flexible.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is appreciated but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and operate the register accurately and efficiently.
• Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while following age-verification and legal requirements.
• Provide friendly service and upsell when possible.
• Clean and maintain the store interior and exterior, including restrooms, gas pumps, entryways, windows, floors, and parking lot areas.
• Sanitize gas pump nozzles, screens, and water buckets.
• Pick up litter and trash and take trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
• Cross-train and assist in other departments, including the deli, as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Help teammates and step in wherever needed.
