About The Position

The Cashier/Sales Associate welcomes customers, operates the register, supports sales, and helps keep the store clean, safe, stocked, and running smoothly. The role includes cleaning restrooms, gas pumps, store floors, windows, and entryways; picking up litter; and taking trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather. Associates stock shelves, coolers, and displays, and may cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed. The position requires working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and staying on one’s feet for most of the shift. Candidates must be at least 18, available to work weekends and holidays, able to communicate effectively in English, and have basic math skills. They must be comfortable with frequent lifting of 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. A pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check may be required. Prior retail or customer-service experience is appreciated but not required. The posting offers flexible schedules, with full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and standing for most of a shift.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
Must have basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication skills.
Must be capable of frequently lifting 10 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and operate the register accurately and efficiently.
Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while following age-verification and legal requirements.
Provide friendly customer service and upsell when possible.
Keep the store and surrounding areas clean and safe, including deep-cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, picking up litter, and taking trash to the dumpster.
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
Sweep and mop, clean windows, and maintain organized entryways and store areas.
Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Support teammates and help wherever needed.
