About The Position

The Cashier/Sales Associate serves customers, operates the register, supports sales, and keeps the store clean, safe, and well stocked. The role includes indoor and outdoor cleaning duties, including restrooms, gas pumps, store and lot areas, and trash removal in all weather conditions. Associates may also cross-train in other departments, including deli, and help wherever needed. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Able to work on their feet for most of a shift and in indoor and outdoor conditions in all weather.
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Able to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
Friendly, positive, detail-oriented, reliable, responsible, and adaptable.
Previous retail or customer service experience is appreciated but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and operate the register accurately and efficiently.
Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while following age-verification and legal requirements.
Provide friendly customer service and upsell when possible.
Clean and maintain the inside and outside of the store, including restrooms, gas pumps, floors, windows, and entryways.
Pick up litter and trash from the store floor and lot, and take trash to the dumpster in all weather conditions.
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Support the team and assist wherever needed.
