About The Position

As a member of Torchy’s Hospitality Team, the Cashier/Runner helps create a memorable guest experience by greeting guests, taking and processing orders, making menu recommendations, running food, and keeping guest-facing areas clean and inviting. The role works collaboratively with managers, the kitchen, and other Hospitality Team members to resolve problems and provide smooth, efficient service. Team members should be outgoing, attentive, communicative, adaptable, and detail-oriented.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server certifications; obtain certification by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of customer service experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
• Two years of experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, understand their needs, offer suggestions, and process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Provide welcoming, attentive hospitality throughout the guest’s visit.
• Learn the menu and current promotions, and make personalized recommendations that account for guests’ preferences and dietary needs.
• Run food to tables accurately and promptly, proactively offer refills on chips and drinks, and look for ways to exceed guest expectations.
• Keep guest-facing restaurant areas neat, clean, organized, and inviting.
• Work with managers, the kitchen, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and provide smooth, efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
