About The Position

As a member of Torchy’s Hospitality Team, the Cashier/Runner helps create memorable guest experiences by greeting guests, taking and processing orders, making personalized menu recommendations, and delivering food. The role contributes to a welcoming atmosphere and smooth service while maintaining clean, organized guest-facing areas and collaborating with managers, kitchen staff, and other Hospitality Team members.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server certifications; obtain required certification(s) by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.
• Able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 pounds.
• Able to stand for several hours and walk for long periods.
• Able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves of varying heights.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of customer service experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
• Two years of experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, understand their needs, offer suggestions, and process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Provide outstanding hospitality and make guests feel welcomed and valued.
• Learn the menu and current promotions to make personalized recommendations that accommodate guest preferences and dietary needs.
• Run food to tables accurately and promptly; proactively offer refills on chips and drinks and look for ways to exceed guest expectations.
• Keep guest-facing restaurant areas neat, clean, organized, and inviting.
• Collaborate with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and provide smooth, efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
