About The Position

As a member of Torchy’s Hospitality Team, the Cashier/Runner helps create a welcoming guest experience by taking orders, running food, and providing attentive service. The role includes greeting guests, learning the menu and current promotions, making recommendations, ensuring orders are accurate, and maintaining clean, inviting guest areas. Team members work with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and provide smooth service.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server certifications; certifications must be obtained by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for several hours and walk for long periods.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves of varying heights.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of customer service experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
• Two years of experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, understand their needs, offer suggestions, and process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Provide outstanding hospitality and make guests feel welcome and valued.
• Learn the menu and current promotions to make personalized recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary needs.
• Run food to tables accurately and promptly, offer refills on chips and drinks, and look for ways to exceed guest expectations.
• Keep guest-facing areas neat, clean, organized, and inviting.
• Work collaboratively with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and provide efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
