About The Position

The Cashier/Runner is a member of Torchy’s Hospitality Team and helps create a welcoming, memorable guest experience. The role includes taking and processing orders, making menu recommendations, running food, maintaining guest-facing areas, and working with restaurant managers, the kitchen, and other Hospitality Team members to provide smooth service.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server certifications; certifications must be obtained by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.
• Able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 pounds.
• Able to stand for several hours and walk for long periods.
• Able to bend, stretch, twist, and reach for objects on shelves of varying heights.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of customer service experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
• Two years of experience using point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, understand their needs, offer suggestions, and process transactions quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Provide welcoming and attentive hospitality throughout each guest’s visit.
• Learn the menu and current promotions to make personalized recommendations that reflect guest preferences and dietary needs.
• Run food to tables and ensure orders are delivered correctly and promptly.
• Proactively offer refills on chips and drinks and look for opportunities to exceed guest expectations.
• Keep guest-facing restaurant areas neat, clean, organized, and inviting.
• Collaborate with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and provide efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
