About The Position

As a member of Torchy’s Hospitality Team, the Cashier/Runner helps create memorable guest experiences by greeting guests, taking and accurately processing orders, making menu recommendations, running food, and maintaining clean, inviting guest areas. The role works collaboratively with managers, kitchen staff, and other Hospitality Team members to resolve issues and provide smooth, efficient service. Team members should be outgoing, attentive, adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to communicate clearly with guests.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server certifications.
• Obtain required certifications by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of work experience providing customer service in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
• 2 years of experience using POS (point-of-sale) systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, ask questions to understand their needs, offer suggestions, and process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Deliver outstanding hospitality and help guests feel welcomed and valued.
• Learn the menu and stay informed about current promotions to make personalized recommendations that address guests’ preferences and dietary needs.
• Run food to tables, ensuring orders are correct and delivered promptly.
• Proactively offer refills on chips and drinks and look for ways to exceed guest expectations.
• Keep guest-facing areas neat, clean, organized, and inviting.
• Collaborate with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and provide smooth, efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
