About The Position

As a member of Torchy’s Hospitality Team, the Cashier/Runner helps create a welcoming guest experience by taking and accurately processing orders, making personalized menu recommendations, running food, and maintaining clean, inviting guest-facing areas. The role works collaboratively with managers, kitchen staff, and other Hospitality Team members to resolve issues and provide smooth, efficient service. Team members should be friendly, attentive, adaptable, communicative, and detail-oriented.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server certifications; certifications must be obtained by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand for several hours and walk for long periods.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves of varying heights.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of work experience providing customer service in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
• 2 years of experience using POS (point-of-sale) systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, ask questions to understand their needs, offer suggestions, and process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Provide outstanding hospitality and help guests feel welcomed and valued.
• Learn the menu and stay informed about current promotions to make personalized recommendations that accommodate guest preferences and dietary needs.
• Run food to tables promptly and ensure orders are delivered correctly.
• Proactively offer refills on chips and drinks and look for ways to exceed guest expectations.
• Keep guest-facing restaurant areas neat, clean, organized, and inviting.
• Collaborate with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and provide smooth, efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
