About The Position

As a member of Torchy’s Hospitality Team, the Cashier/Runner helps create a memorable guest experience by greeting guests, taking accurate orders, offering menu recommendations, and delivering food. The role involves providing welcoming and attentive service, responding to guest needs, keeping guest-facing areas clean and organized, and working with managers, kitchen staff, and other Hospitality Team members to resolve issues and ensure efficient service. The position also includes performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server certifications; certifications must be obtained by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand for several hours and walk for long periods.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves of varying heights.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of customer service work experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
• Two years of experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, understand their needs, offer suggestions, and process fast and accurate transactions using the point-of-sale system.
• Provide outstanding hospitality and make guests feel welcomed and valued.
• Learn the menu and stay informed about promotions to make recommendations that suit guests’ preferences and dietary needs.
• Run food to tables accurately and promptly; proactively offer refills on chips and drinks and look for opportunities to exceed guest expectations.
• Keep guest-facing areas neat, clean, organized, and inviting.
• Collaborate with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and provide smooth, efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
