About The Position

As a member of Torchy’s Hospitality Team, the Cashier/Runner helps create memorable guest experiences by greeting guests, taking and processing orders, recommending menu items, and running food. The role focuses on warm, attentive service and ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued.

The Cashier/Runner maintains knowledge of the menu and current promotions, helps keep guest-facing areas clean and organized, and works with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and provide smooth, efficient service. The position also includes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server certifications.
• Required certifications must be obtained by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of work experience providing customer service in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
• 2 years of experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, ask questions to understand their needs, offer suggestions, and process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Provide outstanding hospitality and help guests feel welcomed and valued.
• Learn the menu and current promotions to make personalized recommendations that reflect guests’ preferences and dietary needs.
• Run food to tables accurately and promptly.
• Proactively offer refills on chips and drinks and look for opportunities to exceed guest expectations.
• Keep all guest-facing restaurant areas neat, clean, organized, and inviting.
• Collaborate with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and provide smooth, efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
