About The Position

The Cashier/Runner is part of Torchy’s Hospitality Team and helps create a welcoming, memorable guest experience. The role combines cashiering and point-of-sale service with running food and supporting the dining room. Team members greet guests, understand their needs, make recommendations, ensure accurate transactions and orders, and help keep guest-facing areas clean and inviting. The role requires collaboration with managers, kitchen staff, and other Hospitality Team members to provide smooth service and resolve problems.

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server certifications.
• Obtain required certification(s) by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of customer service experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
• Two years of experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, ask questions to understand their needs, offer suggestions, and process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Provide outstanding hospitality and make guests feel welcome and valued.
• Learn the menu and stay informed about current promotions to make personalized recommendations that account for guest preferences and dietary needs.
• Run food to tables accurately and promptly.
• Proactively offer refills on chips and drinks and look for ways to exceed guest expectations.
• Keep guest-facing areas neat, clean, organized, and inviting.
• Collaborate with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and provide smooth, efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
